Online Resources ( Page under Construction)
The time spent in therapy is used to process, reflect and gain insight to self and all the parts of self, including the present and past. With that said, therapy has its potential for its vastness and its limitations as well. Typically therapy is held weekly or biweekly, which can leave a significant amount of space and time between sessions. As I often say, much of the growth is carried out and practiced outside the therapy room.
I often compare therapy to learning a new language. Let’s say someone wants to learn or improve their French. They then hire a tutor and meet weekly to do so. An observer could likely conclude that this time spent with the tutor is beneficial though without other forms of learning, integration, practice etc. it may limit the persons knowledge and confidence with the language. One might suggest to perhaps reading in French, listening to music or podcasts, watching movies or shows etc. to provide various avenues of support. The above example is why I’ve created various resources to add various forms of support, practice and reflection in addition to therapy.
Below, are some suggestions for podcasts, social media, apps and articles
*The suggested resources are not a replacement to therapy
